SAP Lead, MES / Plant Maintenance

Role & Responsibilities:

SAP Implementation and Optimization:

• Lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of SAP PM and MES modules across the plant to ensure streamlined maintenance and manufacturing processes.

• Collaborate with IT, engineering, and operations teams to tailor SAP PM solutions to meet plant-specific needs.

Maintenance Planning and Execution:

• Develop and manage plant maintenance schedules within SAP, ensuring minimal downtime and maximizing equipment reliability.

• Monitor maintenance work orders, prioritize activities, and coordinate with relevant teams to execute timely maintenance tasks.

System Integration and Coordination:

• Act as the primary point of contact for integrating MES with SAP PM, ensuring data consistency, and optimizing workflow across systems.

• Collaborate closely with MES and SAP PM teams to troubleshoot and resolve any integration or process issues.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure all SAP PM configurations and maintenance practices comply with industry standards and safety regulations.

• Foster a culture of safety and efficiency, promoting best practices for plant maintenance.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify and implement best practices in plant maintenance using SAP PM and MES to enhance operational efficiency.

• Lead initiatives to improve SAP PM/MES functionality and workflows, adapting to evolving business requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in SAP PM/MES are a plus

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a plant maintenance lead role with a focus on SAP PM.

• Extensive knowledge of MES and SAP PM configuration, integration, and optimisation within a manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in the SAP PM module, including scheduling, preventive maintenance, work order management, and asset management.

• Strong understanding of MES architecture and its integration with SAP solutions.

• Familiarity with other SAP modules (e.g., MM, PP, QM) and how they intersect with plant maintenance.

• Someone who has end-to-end implementation experience
