Duties & Responsibilities
The basic duty and responsibility of the position is to contribute to the delivery of Quality Patient Care and Safety consistent with MLMC Vision, Mission and Values and the organization's strategic objectives.
To perform administrative and technical functions in supervising the operations of the Department such as but not limited to the following:
- Duty Officer
- Investigator
- CCTV OIC
- Transport/Traffic OIC
- Parking/Valet OIC
Responsible in recommending and formulating of policies, plans and programs, periodic monitoring, reporting, evaluating compliance to regulatory requirements in adherence to local and international standards related to the implementation of the established health and security management system such as but not limited to trainings, operations, audits and inspections related to facility security management and meeting the set targets and measures on health, safety and security.
He/She shall be responsible in assessing and planning for educational needs, supervising, and evaluating the competency of all security agency personnel and other third-party contractors. They shall also be responsible in the assessment of security risk and hazards in their area of responsibility.
As Duty Officer
1. Supervises the daily shift operations of the Department.
2. Prepares the daily and weekly activities report of the Department.
3. Oversees orientation of new staff in the assigned areas.
4. Participates in coordination meetings for hospital activities and renders appropriate assistance.
5. Supervises and ensures that all staff carry out their duties and responsibilities during his tour of duty.
6. Monitors attendance and punctuality of Security Officers and Security
Agency Personnel during his tour of duty
As Investigator
1. Conducts investigation into variety of cases concerning criminal incidents, breach of security and other security related incidents that happened inside the Hospital.
2. Performs personal background investigation upon the request of HR on the suitability of the applicant to the position.
3. Acts as liaison officer on incidents and cases that needs representation to the law enforcement agencies.
4. Attends and represent the company in hearing and court proceedings on criminal cases in coordination with Legal Department.
5. Plans, evaluates and writes Investigation reports that will be basis of the Department Head for the necessary action to be taken.
CCTV Officer-in-Charge
1. Supervise the daily operations of the CCTV operators.
2. Conducts weekly and monthly report on the status of the CCTV System.
3. Plans and evaluates the performance of the agency CCTV operators.
4. Ensures the CCTV system is in excellent working condition and immediately reports any defects in the CCTV system to the Duty Officer.
5. Ensures timely and efficient management of request on CCTV reviews and playback.
6. Ensures proper storage of reviewed CCTV video clips and in accordance to the Data Privacy Law.
As Lobby/Transport/Traffic Officer-in-Charge
1. Supervises the daily operation of Transport and Security personnel assigned at the driveway of the Hospital.
2. Ensures and maintains smooth flow of traffic inside the hospital.
3. Ensures that assigned traffic security personnel is at their designated post during peak hours.
4. Provides support to the Transport Section.
5. Coordinates with local law enforcement agencies in the event of vehicular accident and other concerns on traffic and vehicles.
As Parking/Valet Officer-in-Charge
1. Supervises the daily operation of Parking and Valet Services of the Hospital.
2. Ensures and maintains smooth flow of traffic at the Basement parking.
3. Ensures that assigned parking security personnel is at their designated post during peak hours.
4. Assist in the Valet operations to maintain smooth flow vehicles at the valet parking area.
5. Provides support to the Parking and Valet personnel during peak hours.
6. Coordinates with local law enforcement agencies in the event of vehicular collision and other concerns at the Basement Parking.
Other Functions:
1. Designs a program with functional instructions, learning, objectives, session plan, organized course topics, contents, appropriate teaching methodologies techniques and proficiencies of agency security personnel.
2. Reviews and refines policies, plans and programs and formulate recommendations and action plans to continuously improve the established Security Management Program of Makati Life Medical Center.
3. Ensures that IHSD documents and records control is in accordance with the hospital-wide Policy on Document and Records Control and Information Security Policy.
4. Participates in operational planning and preparation of Department's Annual Budget.
5. Oversees the development, attainment and maintenance of desired performance of the Department, which are consistent with the objectives of the Medical Center and functional group.
6. Consults with the Department Manager regarding on-going management of the assigned work function.
7. Participates in hospital wide fire drills/simulations and provides recommendations on evacuation procedures.
8. Provides technical and administrative assistance to other associates/group as directed by the Duty Officer and/or Department Manager
9. Develops records or database system of programs, activities and indicators in the assigned area or specialization.
10. Prepares regular reports, data, analysis and other required documents/reports and gives feedback, critical information and updates as necessary and as required by the Immediate Superior.

12. Actively participates in providing security and protection to all Associates during Hospital wide activities in and out of the Hospital premises.
13. Reviews assessment and evaluates effectiveness of the specific area's systems, procedures, outputs and every activity implemented by gathering feedback and comments and other assessment methods; and recommends changes or improvements when necessary.
14. Consults with and keeps the Immediate Superior informed of activities, needs and concerns of the assigned areas.
