Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Lead Automation Tester with 9–12 years of expertise in both manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate will design and review automated test strategies, contribute actively to project tasks, and support defect management. Hands-on experience with tools such as TOSCA, Selenium, Katalon Studio, and strong expertise in API testing is essential.
- Lead and contribute to automation and manual testing activities across the project lifecycle.
- Design and write automated test strategies and plans based on project requirements.
- Review automated test scripts to ensure quality and completeness.
- Utilize various automation tools such as TOSCA, Selenium, Katalon Studio, and others to execute testing tasks.
- Assist in defect fixing and manage defects effectively using JIRA.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members in designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks.
- Engage in client interactions, effort estimations, technical solutioning, and pre-sales support when required.
- Ensure adherence to process and risk management practices throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Perform proactive contributions to technical delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- 9–12 years’ experience in both automation and manual testing, with leadership responsibility.
- Strong expertise in API Testing, Test Automation Estimation, Behavior Driven Testing (BDD) with Gherkin, Test Planning and Strategy, Technical Solutioning and Leadership, and Defect Management using JIRA.
- Proficient in various automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, TOSCA, Katalon Studio, Cypress, UFT, Appium, TestComplete, Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript), Coded UI, Protractor, Rest Assured, Cucumber, and SpecFlow.
- Programming Languages: C# (Strong), Java (Strong), JavaScript (Capable), Python (Capable), VBScript
- Build and CI/CD Tools: Jenkins (Capable), Azure DevOps (Capable), Maven, Git
- Testing Frameworks: JUnit, NUnit, TestNG
- Familiar with Responsive App Testing and Automation Framework Development.
- Strong operational skills in solution architecture, autonomous task delivery, effort estimation, risk management, technical solutioning and delivery, task status reporting, and ensuring proactive contribution with strict process adherence.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and client interaction skills.
- Leadership experience in guiding technical teams and delivering quality solutions.
