The Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department. They are responsible for understanding customer concerns, recommending appropriate services, and ensuring a smooth and efficient repair process. The role requires excellent communication, technical knowledge, and customer service skills to enhance customer satisfaction and drive business success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assess their vehicle service needs.
- Listen to customer concerns, gather information, and accurately document service requests.
- Provide service recommendations based on vehicle diagnostics and manufacturer guidelines.
- Prepare cost estimates, explain repairs, and obtain customer approvals.
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely service completion.
- Keep customers informed about repair status and any changes in service requirements.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally.
- Process invoices, payments, and warranty claims as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and vehicle service history.
- Promote additional services and products to enhance customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in automotive, business, or a related field is a plus
- At least 2-3 years experience in automotive service, customer service, or a related role preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of automotive systems and repair processes.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in computer systems and service management software.
- Customer-focused with strong problem-solving abilities.
