The Shift Manager oversees daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts to ensure quality service, cleanliness, customer satisfaction, and team coordination in a Korean BBQ dining setup. They lead the front and kitchen staff, manage guest concerns, and ensure smooth shift transitions.
Key Responsibilities: Staff Supervision
- Manage and lead service crew, kitchen staff, and grill attendants during shift.
- Assign stations, monitor breaks, and ensure proper rotation of duties.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings and post-shift debriefings.
Guest Service
- Ensure high standards of customer service at all times.
- Handle customer concerns or complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Monitor table turnover and ensure smooth flow of dine-in service.
Operations & Sanitation
- Monitor grilling stations, side dish replenishment, and buffet counters (if applicable).
- Ensure cleanliness and food safety protocols are strictly followed (especially for raw meats).
- Check that exhaust fans, tabletop grills, and other equipment are functioning properly.
Administrative Tasks
- Submit end-of-shift reports (sales, inventory usage, incident logs).
- Assist with daily inventory checks and ordering when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and DOH/DTI/LGU standards.
Cashiering & POS Monitoring
- Supervise cash handling and closing reports.
- Ensure accurate billing and prevent order fraud or manipulation.
