Job Summary
The Information Security Associate will assist in securing and monitoring the company’s IT Assets. On a day-to-day basis, he or she will use pertinent tools to monitor if there are threats or attacks to any resource in different IT environments. As part of the Security Operations Center Unit under the IT Operations Department, the IS Associate shall display a persistent attitude to inform Stakeholders and other units of IT Operations such as Systems Administration, Database Administration, Network Administration about any security threat incidents and push for its resolution or remediation
Duties and Responsibilities
- Be part of a Security Operations Center Unit that operates 24x7 to ensure that any attacks or threats to the LARES/LRA IT assets are monitored and mitigated.
- Uses and configures information security tools and technologies such as but not limited to Endpoint Protection System (“EPS”), Security Incident and Event Management System (“SIEM”), Transport Encryption, Data Encryption, IP Tables, Host/Network Firewalls, Security Groups, Network Access Control List (“NACL”) to protect the company’s IT Assets.
- Analyzes dashboards to monitor and detect attacks and threats to IT Assets in both the Cloud and on-premises environments.
- Reads and analyzes security, event, application or error logs to come up with a post-incident report related to information security.
- Adheres to Playbooks of each type of information security incidents.
- Assists the Information Security Analyst and other members of the Information Technology Department to analyze and provide remediation to Information Security related incidents.
- Reports any deviation or violation to the Information Security Policies and Procedures to the Information Security Analyst.
- Adheres to the guidelines for monitoring and notification of information security threats and attacks in all IT environments be it on premise, cloud-based or hybrid.
- Continuously keep abreast of new information security standards.
Job Specifications
- College graduate of any computer/IT related course.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
- Must have a good understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Must be familiar with Cloud Infrastructure preferably AWS.
- Must have a basic knowledge of known Information Security Tools.
- Preferably with previous experience on Relational Database Management Systems (“RDBMS”).
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: Php50,000.00 - Php60,000.00 per month
