Job Profile Summary
This position is accountable for the accurate and timely administration of employee pension and benefits which include both corporate and statutory. The position is also responsible in making sure all the remittance payment to the government agencies as well as to the 3rd party vendors are processed on time. The responsibility for the provision of compensation-related data and preparation of compensation-related reports is also shared by this post, as next POC in the absence of the TL.
Position Responsibilities
Directly reporting to the Team Leader, Pension and Benefits under the HR Operations in Manulife, this role will be responsible for the following:
- Administers employee benefit programs of the Company such as group health insurance, group life insurance, employee loans, subsidies, cash awards and cash assistance.
- Processes and validates employee applications, enrolment, and benefit claims in a timely manner and in accordance to established policies, procedures and service level agreement. Supports the company's Annual Physical Exam
- Handles administration of government-mandated benefits and ensures timely submission and compliance with member contribution payments, membership records and other reportorial requirements. Acts as liaison between employees and government agencies which includes the BIR, SSS, Philhealth and Pag-Ibig on benefit claims.
- The position is also responsible for the completion of the year-end clearances from SSS, Pag-ibig and Philhealth which are required for the renewal of the business permit.
- Prepares employee certifications such as government contributions, loan payment, OIC appointments, credit ratio certificate, etc. for all employees as the need arises.
- Attends to audit requirements conducted by internal and external auditors, Insurance Commission and DOLE in a timely manner. Sees to it that all documents required are complete and accurate.
- Prepares periodic pension and benefits adhoc reports which includes group life insurance, HMO reports and other reports on as needed basis.
- Handles all administrative requirements of the Pension & Benefits function which includes invoice processing, handling of insurance death claims, dismemberment and disablement benefit.
- Performs records management. Manages highly confidential employee data specifically on government and company benefits.
- Manages the validation of the Medical Assistance allowance liquidation; Supports and facilitates New Hire Orientation regarding Pension and Benefits; supports business initiatives related to pension and benefits; handles pension and benefits employee concerns; supports on exit clearance management
- As a Sr. coordinator, this post will also serves as POC in the absence of the team lead
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience.
- At least 2 years of demonstrated experience pension, company and government benefits administration.
- Cross-cultural experience gained from working in culturally diverse environments; experience working in a shared services organization is an advantage
- Knowledgeable of statutory and labor regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- With working knowledge in using Workday and an automated SAP Payroll system. Prior experience is using ADP Globalview system is a great advantage.
