Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides direct and indirect patient care and professional nursing services in accordance with hospital standards.
- Reports 15 minutes before the scheduled shift and receives proper endorsement from the outgoing nurse.
- Applies the nursing process to:
- Obtain comprehensive nursing histories
- Assess patient needs and problems
- Identify nursing care priorities
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Monitors and records vital signs accurately.
- Prepares patients for diagnostic tests, medical examinations, and surgical procedures.
- Observes and documents patient responses to treatments, medications, and interventions; promptly reports significant changes to the attending physician or appropriate personnel.
- Administers medications safely, monitors for adverse reactions, and maintains accurate medication records.
- Maintains effective communication and rapport with patients, families, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Assists in the administration of specialized therapies involving complex or high-tech equipment.
- Provides support in the orientation, mentoring, and training of newly hired nurses or clinical staff.
- Ensures adherence to hospital policies, departmental protocols, and infection control standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by superiors or the management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) graduate
- Must be a licensed Registered Nurse
- Certified IV Therapist
- Completed Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) trainings
- Has attended relevant nursing seminars and continuing education programs
- Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills
