The Staff Nurse in the General Ward is responsible for the individualized patient care by promoting and restoring patients' health through proper nursing practices, collaborating with physicians and other multidisciplinary team members.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Attends to daily nurse endorsement without fail.
- Performs nurse’s rounds and assesses the needs of the patients in the ward and makes nursing care plan for all patients.
- Performs triage, prioritizing patient’s needs.
- Manages basic life support and stabilizes patient until the attending physician is available based upon nursing standards and protocols.
- Indwelling Foley catheter insertions, Intravenous insertion
- Blood and blood products transfusion
- Other bedside care procedures (e.g. change of dressing, CBG monitoring, nebulization)
- Prepares and administers medicines ordered by the attending Physician.
- Admits patients and carry out Doctors order.
- Monitors and records patients’ vital signs, intake and output.
- Assists physician during physical exams, diagnostic testing, treatments and daily rounds.
- Ensures that proper bedside care is carried out by the nurse assistant.
- Provides comfort to the patient and maintains safety of the patient.
- Carries out the instructions of the Head/Charge nurse allocated by her.
- Properly endorses patients to other units (i.e. transfer of patient to other area, during diagnostic procedure)
- Keeps herself updated with nursing knowledge by taking part in -service education program.

Pay: Php23,000.00 - Php25,000.00 per month
