As a technical sales staff member, you will be responsible for promoting and selling technical products or services to businesses or consumers. This role requires a deep understanding of the products/services offered as well as the ability to effectively communicate their technical features and benefits to potential customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Knowledge
- Develop a thorough understanding of the technical aspects and functionalities of the products/services being sold.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and technological advancements.
Consultative Selling
- Understand customer needs and requirements through effective questioning and needs analysis.
- Recommend appropriate products/services that meet customer requirements.
- Provide demonstrations or presentations of products/services as needed.
Relationship Building
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to foster long-term partnerships.
- Provide after-sales support and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.
Technical Support
- Serve as a technical resource for customers, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical guidance.
- Coordinate with the technical team to resolve complex technical problems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in technical sales, preferably in selling gadgets like laptops, PCs, or consumer electronics.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly and concisely.
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
