Job Summary:
The Technician is responsible for performing advanced diagnostic, repair, and maintenance work on a wide range of vehicles. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to mentor junior technicians. The Senior Technician ensures that all repair and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with industry standards to deliver excellent customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Graduate of Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical training.
- Minimum of 2years experience as an Automotive Technician, with expertise in diagnostics and major repairs.
- Proficiency in using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Certification from recognized automotive organizations (ASE, TESDA NC II/III, or equivalent) is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct advanced diagnostics and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical vehicle issues.
- Perform major repair and maintenance work on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and electrical systems.
- Oversee and guide junior automotive technicians in performing their tasks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to best practices.
- Review and verify repair orders, parts usage, and ensure completion of high-quality service.
- Maintain updated knowledge of automotive technology, tools, and repair procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding technical issues and repair recommendations.
- Assist in test-driving vehicles to confirm successful completion of repairs.
- Manage and maintain diagnostic tools, equipment, and workspaces in good condition.
- Provide input for continuous improvement of processes and workshop efficiency.
