Additional Comments:Position Overview The Senior Technician will be responsible for the setup, maintenance, and repair of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This role focuses on ensuring equipment reliability and performance while supporting quality and yield improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Equipment Setup and Configuration Assist in the installation and setup of semiconductor manufacturing equipment for new product introductions and process changes. • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for equipment operation and maintenance. • • Maintenance and Repair Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and extend tool life. • Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions, including board repair, to ensure smooth operations. • • Root Cause Analysis Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures to identify underlying issues and implement corrective actions. • • Tool Life Monitoring Monitor tool life and performance to ensure optimal functionality of semiconductor manufacturing tools. • Report and document tool performance metrics to assist in maintenance planning. • • PLC Programming Assist in PLC programming and troubleshooting for automated equipment to enhance operational efficiency. • • Documentation and Compliance Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and performance. • • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. • • Collaboration and Support Work closely with production teams to provide technical support and ensure operational efficiency. • Assist in training operators on proper equipment operation and maintenance procedures. • • Continuous Improvement Participate in equipment-related projects to enhance production capabilities and efficiency. • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices. • Qualifications • Education Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications preferred. • • Experience 8+ years of experience as an equipment technician or in related roles within the semiconductor industry. • Expertise in board repair and PLC programming is highly desirable. • • Technical Knowledge Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing equipment and technologies. • Basic understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practices. • • Troubleshooting Skills Ability to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions and operational issues effectively. • • Analytical Skills Proficient in data collection and analysis to support maintenance and performance improvement efforts, including root cause analysis. • • Quality Awareness Knowledge of quality improvement principles and practices related to semiconductor manufacturing. • • Lean Manufacturing Principles Familiarity with lean principles such as 5S and kaizen to promote efficiency and continuous improvement. •
