Key Responsibilities
- Inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation across all cargo vehicles and equipment.
- Mount, dismount, rotate, and align tires as needed, including tube-type, tubeless, and solid tires.
- Conduct repairs such as patching punctures, replacing valves, and relugging worn-out tires.
- Maintain tire inventory and ensure proper documentation of tire usage and maintenance logs.
- Assist in fuel dispensing operations and maintain accurate fuel records.
- Support mechanics with basic vehicle maintenance tasks when tire services are not required.
- Operate tire handling equipment such as hydraulic jacks, air compressors, and forklifts.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper placement of wheel chocks during service.
- Perform tread pattern evaluations and recommend tire replacements or rotations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or vocational training in automotive or mechanical fields.
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience with heavy equipment tires in logistics or cargo operations.
- Familiarity with tire load ratings, ply analysis, and tread wear indicators.
- Ability to work in both workshop and field environments.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy equipment and working in varied weather conditions.
- Forklift or tire handler operation experience is a plus.
