Orient Freight International Inc. is seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver for project-based employment to support logistics and transportation operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials to designated locations while ensuring compliance with company and regulatory safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company-assigned trucks to transport goods to and from specified locations.
- Ensure timely delivery and pick-up of cargo according to schedule and client requirements.
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips; report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Secure loads properly to prevent damage or loss during transit.
- Comply with traffic laws, regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients as needed.
- Assist in loading and unloading cargo when necessary.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks (e.g., checking oil, water, tire pressure).
Qualifications:
- Valid professional driver’s license (at least RC 1, 2, 3, or equivalent; adjust based on country requirements).
- Proven experience as a truck driver in logistics, freight, or similar industries.
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
- Ability to operate different types of trucks (closed van, wing van, flatbed, etc.) preferred.
- Good knowledge of road safety regulations and routes within [region/country].
- Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks related to loading/unloading.
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and attention to detail.
