The Utility Personnel is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the office and facilities and performing basic maintenance tasks. These include janitorial work, minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs, and assisting in general upkeep to ensure a safe and well-maintained workplace.
A. Duties and Responsibilities:Janitorial Functions:
- Perform daily cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas (e.g., sweeping, mopping, dusting, emptying trash).
- Sanitize restrooms, maintain cleanliness of pantry/kitchen area.
- Ensure proper disposal of waste and segregation of recyclables.
- Replenish restroom supplies (e.g., tissue, soap, hand sanitizer).
- Assist in setting up and cleaning up during company events or meetings.
Maintenance Functions:
- Perform minor plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks, replacing faucets, or unclogging drains.
- Conduct basic electrical troubleshooting, such as replacing bulbs, fixing loose outlets, or resetting circuit breakers.
- Carry out simple carpentry work including fixing door hinges, minor shelving, and small furniture repairs.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities and report any major maintenance needs or hazards.
- Assist in moving office furniture and equipment as needed.
B. Qualifications:
- With at least 1 year of experience in janitorial or utility services.
- Basic knowledge in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual work.
- Trustworthy, detail-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.
