Job Title: Village Accountant

Job Summary:
The Village Accountant is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial records, transactions, and reports of a residential community or subdivision. This role supports the Property Manager and the Homeowners Association (HOA) in ensuring accurate budgeting, expense tracking, and compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting, excellent organizational skills, and experience in property or community association finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the village.
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable, including collection of association dues and the timely payment to vendors.
- Prepare and present monthly financial statements and reports to the Property Manager and Board of Directors.
- Assist in preparing the annual budget, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including filing of BIR forms and payment of government dues.
- Coordinate with auditors for annual financial audits.
- Manage petty cash and ensure proper documentation of disbursements.
- Support procurement processes by verifying invoices and assisting with vendor payment processing.
- Advise the HOA on financial best practices and improvements in internal controls.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling financial data.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA license is an advantage but not required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting or finance, preferably in real estate, property management, or community association settings.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or local equivalents).
- Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation and financial regulations.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Must be based in or willing to work in General Trias, Cavite.
Working Conditions:
