Job summary
The Virtual Sleep Lab Assistant is responsible for scoring sleep studies following the client’s guidelines, and providing administrative assistance as needed.
Summary of essential job functions
- Score sleep/wake stages by applying professionally accepted guidelines.
- Score clinical events (such as respiratory events, cardiac events, limb movements, arousals, etc.) utilizing AASM standards.
- Demonstrate adherence to AASM scoring parameters for HSAT; identify artifact, inadequate signals and study failures and generate an accurate report.
- Generate accurate reports by tabulating sleep/wake and clinical event data.
- Train as a backup in other roles to support the client
- Secure patient information and maintain patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; keeping patient information confidential.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
- Serve and protect the practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
- Enhance practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Abilities required
