Job Summary:
The Welding Line Leader – Formworks is responsible for supervising and coordinating a team of welders engaged in the fabrication, repair, and assembly of metal components used in formwork systems. This role ensures that welding activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and in accordance with technical and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise welders in the daily operations of the welding line, ensuring adherence to work plans and safety protocols.
- Interpret welding blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders, and assign tasks accordingly.
- Conduct inspections of welds and finished products to ensure quality, accuracy, and structural integrity.
- Provide on-the-job guidance and technical assistance to team members.
- Monitor use of equipment and tools, ensuring proper operation and maintenance.
- Coordinate with Formworks Engineers or Supervisors regarding design adjustments, priorities, or production targets.
- Maintain accurate records of production output, material usage, and team performance.
- Enforce company safety rules and PPE compliance; conduct toolbox talks and participate in safety audits.
- Identify and report any production delays, equipment malfunctions, or quality issues.
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to welding techniques, workflow efficiency, and product quality.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or Technical/Vocational course in Welding or Fabrication.
- TESDA NC II (or higher) Welding Certification is required.
- Minimum of [3–5] years of welding experience in a construction or manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience in a team leader or supervisory role is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, SMAW, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints and shop drawings.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Physically fit and able to work in demanding workshop or site conditions.
Work Environment:
- Workshop-based with possible on-site assignments.
- Exposure to heat, noise, welding fumes, and heavy materials.
- Requires standing for extended periods and lifting heavy components.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Php23,000.00 - Php30,000.00 per month
