Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy Accountant to manage day-to-day financial transactions, ensure tax and regulatory compliance, and support financial reporting and planning. The successful candidate must have strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, especially VAT, Withholding Tax, and PEZA-related compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate financial statements, reports, and reconciliations on a regular basis.
- Monitor and record all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Ensure compliance with all BIR requirements including VAT, Withholding Tax, Income Tax, and other statutory obligations.
- Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings and remittances.
- Support PEZA-related financial reporting and coordination.
- Assist with internal budgeting, cost analysis, and audits.
- Manage payroll-related accounting and government contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
- Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and government agencies.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and supporting documents.
- Review and verify the accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
- CPA license is an advantage.
- At least 5 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in a PEZA-registered or export-oriented company.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation, especially VAT, Withholding Tax, and PEZA incentives and reporting.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Work well under pressure.
