Long Island Tax Resources is a growing, client-focused accounting firm serving individuals, small businesses, and independent professionals across the United States. We specialize in providing personalized tax planning, compliance, and bookkeeping services. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Remote Accountant to support our team with ongoing bookkeeping, sales tax compliance, and income tax preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly and quarterly bookkeeping for multiple clients using QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop and Xero Accounting.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements and maintain accurate general ledger entries
- Prepare and file sales tax returns in various U.S. states, ensuring compliance with local deadlines and regulations
- Assist in the preparation of annual income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and small businesses
- Communicate with clients via email to request documents, clarify transactions, and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain well-organized client files and meet internal deadlines for monthly/quarterly reporting and annual filings
- Collaborate with the principal accountant on tax planning and workflow improvements
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: Php800.00 - Php1,000.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 40 per week
