We are looking for goal-oriented individuals to fill in the ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST Role.
The Accounting Specialist is accountable for creating and updating general journal and assembling supporting documentation, as well as for tracking the contents of accounts, creating portions of the financial statements and writing related disclosures.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain a master list of daily, weekly, and monthly general journal entries
- Record and collate supporting information for all general journal entries
- Enter all general journal entries into the accounting software
- Maintain a detailed listing of the contents of all balance sheet accounts
- Assist in preparing note disclosure for financial reporting
- Reconciles and prepares monthly analysis of multiple general ledger accounts and various sub-ledgers
- Maintain the following reports (Incurred but not reported liabilities, Outstanding loss reserve, Prepayments and accruals)
- Administers and conducts month end closing process and assist the accounting supervisor and manager in preparing monthly financial reporting
- Assists in preparation of regulatory deliverables (e.g. BIR returns)
- Ensure that the QMS confirms to ISO9001: 2015.
- Ensure processes are delivering intended outcomes
- Report to Top Management on the performance of the QMS; on opportunities for improvement; on change requirements; on innovations
- Ensure the promotion of customer focus
- Ensure the integrity of the QMS is maintained
- Performs duties that may be assigned or required to by the job from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
- Preferably one year related experience but not required.
- Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Have knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Microsoft, power point) and any Accounting Software.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
- Willing to be assigned in Pasig area (in front of Estancia Mall), and report on-site Monday to Friday
