Job Summary
The Accounting Associate will support the business and financial operations of the company. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and the ability to work as an independent contributor. The role assists in various accounting tasks and ensures accurate and timely financial record-keeping. The role will work with all departments to ensure and deliver support as needed. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Answering phones, greeting visitors, managing incoming and outgoing mail, maintaining office cleanliness, and managing supplies and equipment
- Assisting in routine tasks in the office, such as encoding, recording, and summarizing information
- Organizing, filing, and monitoring quotation documents and contracts, both physical and electronic. Organizing and maintaining physical files under established filing systems
- Preparing documentation of sales and logistics activities and transactions
- Ensuring the accuracy of Supplier Purchase Order details, including vendor information, item descriptions, quantities, and pricing
- Processing supplier invoices and payments
- Managing client revenue, invoicing, and collections
- Manage the company’s assets and funds
- Receiving and reviewing cash advance requests for completeness and accuracy
- Maintaining accurate records of inventory levels
- Conducting reconciliation of accounts and bank reconciliation
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and other basic tasks related to accounting, tax, and human resources
- Preparing journal entries
- Reconciling general ledger accounts
- Analyzing financial data
- Maintaining and updating financial records
- Ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations
- Maintaining strict confidentiality of company and client information.
- Performing other accounting duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Experience in an accounting and support role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Time management skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
