This AR Associate will handle the Cash Application process. This role is responsible for accurately applying customer payments, reconciling accounts, and supporting the Accounts Receivable (AR) function to ensure timely and accurate recording of incoming cash. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and committed to maintaining a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and apply incoming payments (checks, ACH, wires, credit cards) to customer accounts accurately and timely.
- Review remittance details and match payments to open invoices.
- Investigate and resolve unapplied or misapplied payments.
- Sending Statement of Accounts and invoices to customers.
- Application of credit memo and posting it in MS Teams.
- Communicate with customers or internal teams to clarify payment information.
- Perform account reconciliations and assist in month-end closing procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer accounts in the Accounting system.
- Assist in audit requests and provide supporting documentation as needed.
- Aid and support the AR Team Lead
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in Accounts Receivable and cash application.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willing to work in the graveyard shift.
