Job Summary
The Area Supervisor is responsible for leading the Boracay branch, ensuring efficient daily operations, compliance, financial discipline, and excellent customer service. This role combines office management with strong field presence: supervising staff, coordinating with TPLs (boat and truck companies), resolving operational challenges, and being the main contact for customer site visits and branch-level escalations. Experience in hospitality or logistics supervision is a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations & Compliance
- Oversee day-to-day branch operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety regulations.
- Manage coordination with TPLs (boat, truck, and other transport partners) to ensure smooth cargo flow.
- Make timely operational decisions (e.g., alternative boats/trucks) in consultation with the Area Manager.
- Ensure all branch activities comply with local laws, port rules, and company SOPs.
- Serve as the main contact during customer site visits and inspections.
2. People Management
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate branch staff; recommend hiring, promotions, or disciplinary actions.
- Manage shift scheduling and workforce allocation to maximize efficiency.
- Lead onboarding and training for new employees, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
3. Customer & Vendor Relations
- Act as the main branch-level contact for hospitality clients, addressing inquiries and resolving service issues.
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers, vendors, and government stakeholders.
- Support the sales team with client retention, referrals, and local business development (without hard KPIs).
- Represent SRB Cargo in local community, industry, or LGU events when required.
4. Financial Oversight
- Monitor branch expenses and collections, ensuring financial discipline within approved budgets.
- Oversee invoice monitoring, ensure timely collections, and coordinate with Finance for reporting.
- Contribute to branch profitability by balancing cost-efficiency and service quality.
5. Reporting & Coordination
- Submit timely reports on operations, KPIs, and branch performance.
- Provide branch updates, issues, and recommendations directly to the CEO.
- Coordinate with the Area Manager, Operations, Finance, and Sales teams to align branch execution with company goals.
- Ensure accurate use of company systems (Zoho CRM, Zoho Books, Slack) for reporting and data management.
Qualifications:
- Supervisory or managerial experience in logistics, hospitality, or related industries.
- Strong leadership skills with hands-on approach (not just office-based).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving ability under pressure.
- Financial literacy (budgeting, invoice monitoring, collections).
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Familiarity with digital tools (Zoho, Slack, Google Workspace) is an advantage.
