The Automotive Sales Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the sales department to achieve dealership objectives. This includes managing the sales team, setting sales targets, implementing strategies to increase revenue, and ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve dealership targets
- Supervise and lead the sales team, providing training, guidance, and motivation
- Monitor performance of individual sales agents and team KPIs
- Manage showroom display and vehicle inventory with the assistance of inventory personnel
- Collaborate with the marketing team to execute promotions and events
- Handle key customer relationships and resolve escalated issues
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports for management review
- Coordinate with other departments such as finance, service, and insurance for smooth operations
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies, pricing, and manufacturer standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or any related field
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in automotive sales, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Knowledge of vehicle financing options, insurance, and aftersales is a plus
- Proficient in MS Office and dealership CRM or DMS software
