The Baker Helper assists bakers and pastry chefs in preparing, baking and packaging bread, pastries and other baked goods. This role ensures cleanliness, organization and smooth workflow in the bakery.
Key responsbilities:
- assist in measuring, mixing, shaping and baking dough and batters
- prepare ingredients (e.g., weighing flour, cracking eggs, grating cheese)
- operate bakery equipment under supervision (mixers, ovens, etc.)
- monitor baking times and temperatures
- arrange, pack and label baked products for display or delivery
- maintain cleanliness of work areas, utensils and equipment
- follow hygiene and food safety standards at all times
- assist in receiving and storing supplies
- support bakers in any other production tasks as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- preferably with basic baking knowledge
- ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately
- good teamwork and communication skills
- physically fit for standing long hours and lifting ingredients
- attention to detail and cleanliness
Work environment:
- fast-paced bakery or pastry kitchen
- requires early morning shifts, weekends or holidays depending on production needs
