As Business Development Supervisor you must have a solid background in ice cream or beverage sales. This is a field-based position focused on driving daily sales, conducting trade checks, managing a field team, and expanding account coverage across General Trade (GT) and Modern Trade (MT) channels.
The ideal candidate should have strong on-ground experience, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a deep understanding of sales dynamics in FMCG – particularly cold chain categories like ice cream and beverages.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle and support booking salesmen for direct accounts in GT and MT.
- Oversee the performance of field salesmen and roving merchandisers to ensure monthly sales targets are consistently met.
- Conduct regular store visits and trade checks to drive visibility, compliance, and sell-through.
- Generate new business through account development and lead generation.
- Ensure daily sales push and monitoring, guiding field teams to hit targets.
- Maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication and visits.
- Execute trade marketing activities and support in-store brand visibility efforts.
- Manage inventory accuracy and support in regular counts.
- Ensure proper deployment of trade assets and POS materials.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings as needed.
- Provide ongoing market research, competitor analysis, and sales forecasting.
- Monitor and report on product performance, including new launches.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or any related field
- 5+ years of experience in field sales or business development within the ice cream, beverage, or FMCG sector
- Proven experience managing GT and MT channels
- Strong leadership skills in handling field teams and merchandisers
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Must be highly organized and capable of working independently on the field
- Proficient in reporting, client follow-ups, and route planning
- Willing to do regular field work and travel across North and South NCR
- Strong understanding of cold chain operations and store-level execution
- Must have a track record of hitting sales KPIs and developing strong customer
