Job Summary:
Buyer - Procurement is responsible for assisting in day-to-day purchasing operations, including sourcing, preparing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and coordinating with suppliers and internal departments. The role ensures the timely acquisition of goods and services by company policies and cost-efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in sourcing suppliers and requesting quotations for required materials, supplies, and services.
Prepare and process purchase orders based on approved requests.
Coordinate with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules and resolve any order issues or delays.
Maintain and update records of purchased items, costs, deliveries, and supplier information.
Monitor stock levels and support replenishment planning.
Communicate with internal departments to clarify purchase specifications and timelines.
Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and documentation requirements.
Assist in vendor accreditation and evaluation processes.
Support cost-saving and process improvement initiatives in procurement operations.
Perform clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, and encoding procurement-related data.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- At least 1-3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and familiar with procurement software or ERP systems.
- High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
- Integrity, reliability, and strong sense of accountability.
