Job Scope:
The Furniture Installer is responsible for the delivery, assembly, and installation of custom-built or modular home furniture such as cabinets, wardrobes, kitchen systems, shelves, and related fixtures. The role requires interpreting installation drawings, using appropriate tools, and ensuring quality workmanship that aligns with client specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport and install home furniture components at client sites according to layout plans or technical drawings.
- Assemble units such as modular cabinets, wardrobes, tables, and shelves with precision.
- Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and secure fastening of furniture items.
- Coordinate with project in-charge, designers, or supervisors regarding installation requirements or adjustments.
- Conduct basic touch-ups or minor on-site repairs as needed.
- Inspect and report any missing, defective, or damaged parts prior to or during installation.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the work area during and after installation.
- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Follow safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Provide feedback to supervisors for installation improvements or recurring issues.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or vocational course in carpentry, furniture installation, or related technical skill.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in furniture installation or cabinet assembly.
- Can read and interpret basic layout drawings and installation instructions.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power drills, levels, and other carpentry equipment.
- Detail-oriented, with a strong sense of craftsmanship and quality.
- Physically fit and able to lift and move furniture components safely.
- Willing to work extended hours and travel to various project sites.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and proper material handling is a must.
- Experience with modular or customized furniture installations is a plus.
