The CAD Operator is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings, layouts, and designs using computer-aided design (CAD) software. This role supports engineers, architects, and project managers by creating accurate plans and schematics for construction, electrical, civil, mechanical, and other engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and related software.
- Interpret and convert sketches, concepts, and specifications into technical drawings.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards, codes, and project requirements.
- Update and revise existing drawings as required by project changes.
- Maintain proper organization and storage of all CAD files and related documents.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to meet project goals.
- Assist in preparing design layouts for:
- Architectural
- Civil and Structural
- Electrical
- Plumbing and Sanitary
- Electronics / Communications Engineering
- Conduct quality checks to ensure designs meet safety, functionality, and regulatory standards.
- Provide technical support during project implementation when needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering
- With 3–5 years of related experience as a CAD Operator or similar role.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and other CAD software applications.
- Strong understanding of engineering and architectural principles.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with engineers, architects, and project teams.
