Job Summary:
The Chief Security Officer is an executive leader responsible for establishing and overseeing our company's comprehensive security strategy. This includes protecting physical assets, digital information (especially customer data), employees, and customers across all retail operations and corporate functions. The CSO will drive risk mitigation, ensure compliance, and cultivate a robust security culture to safeguard our brand and business continuity in the dynamic retail landscape of the Philippines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Security Leadership: Develop and implement an enterprise-wide security vision aligned with business goals, addressing unique retail challenges like loss prevention, supply chain security, and e-commerce protection.
- Risk Management & Compliance: Identify and mitigate security risks across physical and digital domains. Ensure adherence to local and international regulations and industry best practices.
- Physical & Asset Security: Oversee all aspects of physical security for stores, warehouses, and offices, including access control, surveillance, and loss prevention strategies to minimize shrinkage and ensure a safe environment for customers and staff.
- Cybersecurity & Data Protection: Direct the cybersecurity program to protect sensitive data, IT infrastructure, and online platforms from evolving cyber threats. Lead incident response and recovery efforts.
- Crisis Management & Business Continuity: Develop and maintain plans for effective response to security incidents, natural disasters, and other emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Team Leadership & Culture: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing security team. Champion a strong security awareness culture across the organization through training and communication.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with executive leadership, IT, operations, legal, law enforcement, and industry peers to strengthen security posture and foster a proactive security mindset.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's preferred.
- 4+ years of progressive security leadership, with 2+ years at an executive level in the retail sector.
- Deep expertise in both physical security (loss prevention, store security) and cybersecurity (data protection, incident response, compliance).
- Strong understanding of security challenges specific to the retail industry, including e-commerce.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic security programs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and crisis management skills.
