DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITES:
- Monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.
- Reconcile customer accounts to verify payments received and amounts due.
- Post and allocate payments accurately in the accounting system.
- Coordinate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial records and reporting.
- Generate aging reports and analyze overdue accounts to prioritize collection efforts.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing by providing data on outstanding receivables and bad debt provisions.
- Prepare and submit collection reports for internal review and audit purposes.
- Issue invoices, receipts, and statements to clients as part of the billing and collection process.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to billing, payments, and customer ledgers.
- Support external audits by providing necessary documentation on receivables and collection activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all communications and transactions with clients.
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and regulatory requirements in all collection activities.
- Coordinate with sales and finance teams to validate contract terms and payment schedules.
Qualifications
- Graduate of BS in Accountancy, Financial Management, or any other related business course.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a similar finance-related role.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and familiarity with financial systems or ERP software.
- Proficient in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet collection targets or deadlines.
- A team player with a positive attitude, professionalism, and integrity.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
