Smiles On Demand by Vervent Philippines is looking for a committed, trustworthy, and caring Company Nurseto join our expanding team.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Patient Care

• Provide standard medical treatment and nursing care to all patients who visit the clinic.
• Attend to the personal medical consultation needs of the employees covered by the clinic, including but not limited to:

- Comprehensive history taking and physical examination,

- Taking and monitoring vital signs,

- Health counseling, examination and management of common illnesses, and

- Checking up on patients who require close follow- up (e.g. calls).

• Dispense over the counter medicines stocked by the clinic to employees appropriately.
• If a patient’s condition is beyond the scope of nursing care, refer the patient to the retainer physician in the clinic or to the designated HMO- accredited clinics and physicians.
• If a patient requires a consultation with the retainer physician, if the physician is not available at the time of patient visit, schedule a check up with the retainer physician and remind the patient of the schedule.
• After each consultation, medical certificate validation, or fit to work clearance, follow the guidelines in sending email to the patient’s supervisor informing them of the clinic activity.
• Ensure that medicines for specific employees are picked up by or delivered to the right employees.
• Attend emergency cases, even if this would require the doctor/nurse to extend shifts.
• In case of an emergency that would require conduction to the hospital, strictly follow protocol and ensure that proper endorsement was done to the ambulance responders to ensure timely management of patients.
• Facilitate home visits to sick employees if required.

Occupational Health

• Participate in ensuring occupational health and safety by helping identify hazards in the clinic and in the office building and providing suggestions on how to address these hazards.
• Participate in corporate wellness and occupational health and safety programs, such as but not limited to assisting in the administration of vaccines and HIV screening via Rapid Tests Kits in the clinic.
• Manage treatment of the track work related accidents, injuries, illnesses and near misses of employees.
• Attend Health and Safety Committee meetings, if invited.

Clinic Management

• Clean and sanitize clinic equipment that come in contact with patients such as the stethoscope, thermometer etc.
• Manage the inventory of medicines as well as report the types and quantities of medicines needed for reordering.
• Ensure appropriate storage of prescription and over the counter medicines dispensed by Smiles On Demand by Vervent Philippines Inc.
• Ensure proper care and maintenance of all clinic equipment including but not limited to the stethoscope, nebulizer, and weighing scale.
• Ensure that the linens used in the clinic are regularly laundered.

Attendance and Punctuality

• Report for work on time and in the designated location.
• Inform the management of any absence or tardiness, whether yours or the next nurse as soon as possible.

Decorum

• Be professional at all times, especially while on duty.
• Follow the dress code outlined in the clinic manual.
• Practice therapeutic communication in assessing the patient and in offering recommended treatment.
• Ensure that the patient is aware why the prescribed treatment is the best option given available facts and resources.

Documentation/ Misc

• Help establish systems and procedures that would compile employees’ health information including but not limited to, annual physical exam data, existing conditions, clinic visits and risk factors.
• Ensure the data acquired from the patients are kept confidential, in line with the Data Privacy Act.
• Prepare clinic reports upon request using Smiles on Demand by Vervent Philippines Inc.
• Standard format, including but not limited to:

- Census of clinic visits, chief complaints, diagnoses, medicines given and ambulance cases,

- Inventory of medicines, supplies, equipment, and furniture, and

- Spikes of illnesses.

• Assist in issuing Company HMO to the regular employees.
• Use systems provided by the company (e.g Consultation Tracker, ECC Logbook, Medicine Inventory, etc) for their intended purposes.
• Perform any other task or participate in any other activity as may be assigned from time to time by the management.

Position Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid PRC license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid Certification is a plus
• At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience, preferably in occupational or corporate setting
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Familiar with government health regulations and workplace safety protocols
