Core Responsibilities
- Patient Care:
- Assess patients before, during, and after dialysis sessions.
- Monitor vital signs (BP, heart rate, respiration, temperature).
- Administer medications and observe for side effects.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families.
- Dialysis Procedures:
- Prepare and access vascular sites (fistulas, grafts, catheters).
- Set up and operate dialysis machines safely.
- Monitor dialysis parameters (blood flow, dialysate flow, pressure).
- Troubleshoot complications during treatment.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Follow strict infection control protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
Qualifications in the Philippines
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Licensure: Active PRC license (Registered Nurse).
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Intravenous Therapy (IVT)
- Hemodialysis Nurse Training Program certificate.
- Preferred Skills:
- Compassionate and calm under pressure.
- Strong analytical and observational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
