Job Description:
A Compliance Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring internal policies and procedures to ensure the organization adheres to legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements. They serve as a key advisor to management, conduct audits, assess risk, and provide training to staff on compliance matters. Their work helps prevent violations, safeguard the company’s reputation, and promote a culture of accountability.
- All administrative reports and compliance documents are prepared, updated, disseminated, and submitted.
- Ensures that all compliance issues/concerns within the organization are evaluated, investigated, and resolved.
- Ensures that all DOLE and other regulatory agency requirements are inventoried, assessed, cascaded, and implemented.
- Conduct advisory acts on compliance guidelines and inform them of any legal changes.
- Develop and implement compliance procedures
- Investigate potential violations and recommend corrective actions
- Serve as the point of contact for regulatory bodies and external audits
- Stay updated with changes in laws and best practices affecting the organization
- Monitoring and auditing processes, practices, and documents to identify potential risks.
Qualifications:
- A graduate of Political Science, BS Education, Legal Management or Business management. Preferably Law Student
- At least 2-3 years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles
- Strong background knowledge of Labor Laws, CDA, BIR, and other Cooperative Regulatory Agencies.
- Knowledge and background in drafting and reviewing cooperative policies.
- Contract Management, but not limited to ensuring all implemented contracts comply with all the applicable laws and regulations.
- Can assist in developing legal compliance programs.
- Knowledgeable in assessing risks and liaising between department heads/satellite operations heads and senior management.
- Presentation skills (Canva, Google Sheets)
