Job Summary: The Construction Management Specialist is responsible for the comprehensive oversight of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role involves close collaboration with the CM Head, engineers, architects and contractor, from project initiation through to final completion. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage construction processes efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communication: Maintain open and clear communication with the upper Management, providing regular updates on project status, challenges, and milestones achieved.
- Compliance and Quality Control: Ensure all construction activities adhere to relevant safety regulations, codes, and quality standards. Conduct regular site inspections to maintain compliance and quality assurance.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, architects, and contractors to define project objectives, develop detailed plans, and monitor progress to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and motivate construction teams, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring all personnel are aligned with project timelines and objectives.
- Progress Monitoring: Track project milestones and deadlines, ensuring all phases of construction are completed according to schedule. Address any issues that arise promptly to avoid delays.
- Resource Management: Ensure the timely availability and proper allocation of materials, equipment, and labor on site, mitigating potential delays or shortages.
- Budget Management: Monitor and manage project budgets, contractors, materials, and equipment. Ensure expenditures remain within budgetary constraints, implementing cost-saving measures where possible.
- Procurement Oversight: Ensuring all materials and services meet project specifications and budgetary guidelines.
- Problem Resolution: Identify potential risks and challenges throughout the project lifecycle and implement effective solutions to mitigate impact on project delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing construction projects from inception to completion.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
- Strong budgeting and financial management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
