The Customs Declarant prepares and submits accurate customs declarations for import and export shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and facilitating the timely release of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Accurate Documentation: Prepare and submit accurate customs declarations, invoices, and other required documents for import and export shipments.
- Tariff Classification: Determine the correct tariff classification of goods for accurate duty and tax calculations.
- Customs Clearance: Facilitate the customs clearance process, ensuring timely release of shipments from customs custody.
- Duty and Tax Computation: Assist in the computation, filing, and payment of Bureau of Customs duties and taxes.
- Shipment Monitoring: Monitor shipment status, including departure, arrival, and clearance, to ensure prompt release.
- Coordination: Coordinate with logistics teams and clients to ensure smooth communication and timely delivery of shipments.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with customs regulations and procedures.
- Documentation Maintenance: Maintain accurate and organized records of shipment details.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with customs authorities, shipping companies, and other stakeholders to expedite the clearance process.
- Other Related Activities: Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements and Skills:
- At least Bachelor's degree in Customs Administration, Business, Logistics, International Trade or any related course (Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply)
- Previous experience as Customs Declarant is a plus
- Good written and oral communication skill
- Ability to work quickly, accurately and independently in a fast paced environment
- Ability to perform routine, repetitive task accurately.
- Possess understanding or willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team, establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with other members.
