The Customs Representative (or Customs Officer) is responsible for ensuring that all imported and exported goods comply with local customs laws and international trade regulations. This role involves preparing and submitting accurate documentation, facilitating smooth clearance of goods at ports or airports, and coordinating with government agencies such as the Bureau of Customs (BOC), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), if applicable. The position is essential for minimizing delays, avoiding penalties, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods in and out of the country.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Customs Administration, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Licensed Customs Broker is strongly preferred
- At least 1–2 years of experience in customs brokerage, import/export documentation, or logistics operations
- Knowledge of PEZA, BOC, and other regulatory processes in the Philippines
- Experience with trade compliance, customs audits, or risk management is an advantage
- Familiarity with international shipping terms (Incoterms) and HS Codes
- Willingness to travel to ports, warehouses, and government offices as needed
- Must be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Can drive 2-wheels or 4-wheels with Driver's License
