Today, Data Operations is a key player in the ING Think Forward Strategy. It has been
established in the COO Domain to ensure that ING has trustable data which is fully fit for the purpose (timely, complete, accurate, adoptable, comprehensive, consistent, and appropriate), facilitated by a state-of-the-art data architecture and IT infrastructure.

A Data Operations Professional within Data Control is responsible for:
• the day-to-day management of technologies and execution of processes related to data delivery and data flow monitoring.
o ensuring that ingested and consumed data over multiple data lakes are stable and can consistently deliver performance in accordance to defined, agreed, and managed operational agreements
o ensuring processes that supports compliance to policies and process control standards are being performed
• proactively collaborating with key stakeholders and constantly exploring for opportunities to innovate and automate
• providing insights towards continuous service improvements
• performing project management and service transition activities for service expansion

If you are good at:
• Monitoring data ingestion and data consumption traffic, job completion and failure statuses, creation of reports/dashboards
• Classifying and prioritizing the alerts and incidents. Triaging, troubleshooting and coordinating resolution in close collaboration with the squads within the
Operational Data Agreement timeframe
• Executing data validation processes to ensure the successful ingestion of all data sources for data consumption in accordance to defined Operational Data
Agreements
• Improving and maintaining support documentation and means for communication
with stakeholders, such as a portal, workplace instructions or run books
• Producing insights and dashboards on the Data Management and Analytics
Platform metrics and ensure action is taken on performance below defined
thresholds
• Continuously analyzing trends to prevent recurrence of common incidents and minimize the impact to critical data consumers
• Data Analysis using MS Excel, Power BI & other dashboard tools

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for candidates who are pro-active, passionate and driven to work in a Data
Operations team. You are good at stakeholder management, analytical and an
experienced problem solver, a good communicator and are used to working under
pressure.
Following are the key skills for the role:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Experience in working with Power BI, Power Automate & Alteryx (or any similar ETL tools) are preferred
• Working in knowledge of data integration and data analytics platforms preferred:
o Data exchange: XML, CSV, Kafka Messages, SFTP
o Data Management environment IBM IIS 11.7: DataStage, IGC and Information Analyzer

Database & Data Warehouse technologies: SQL Servers, Oracle 12, Apache Hive

• Strong relationship management experience, with prior experience working collaboratively in a cross functional team
• Ability to analyze issues, determine root causes and developing solutions for improving stability of Data Operations
• Effective at incident and problem management via ServiceNow is preferred
• Skilled in communicating complex topics and solutions and open to ideas from others. Experienced to communicate by means of Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Power Point, Outlook MS Teams
• Comfortable working in in an international context.
• Transparent, flexible and motivated to make every day a success
• Share and adhere to the ING values of honesty, prudence and responsibility
• Knowledgeable or Certified in ITIL and/or Scrum are preferred
• Experienced in Project management and service transition is preferred
