Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery of Goods:
- Transport and deliver products to customers’ locations in a safe and timely manner.
- Load, unload, and organize goods in the vehicle for efficient delivery.
- Route Planning & Navigation:
- Plan the most efficient routes for timely deliveries.
- Customer Interaction:
- Provide excellent customer service by being courteous and professional during deliveries.
- Collect customer signatures upon delivery and ensure proper documentation is completed.
- Vehicle Maintenance & Safety:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-functioning delivery vehicle.
- Perform routine checks on the vehicle (oil, tires, fuel) and report any issues to the management.
- Inventory and Documentation:
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, delivery logs, and any issues encountered.
- Handle paperwork such as delivery receipts and invoices as required.
- Adherence to Policies:
- Follow traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards during deliveries.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Experience: Prior experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is a plus.
- Skills:
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of local roads and areas.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to interact with customers professionally.
- Ability to lift packages and goods as required (up to [X] lbs).
- Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
