JOB SUMMARY
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, supervising, and maintaining electrical systems for construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, project specifications, and relevant codes. The role involves coordination with other engineering disciplines, contractors, and clients to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of electrical works.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and review electrical plans, diagrams, load schedules, and technical specifications.
- Conduct site inspections to assess electrical requirements and prepare cost estimates.
- Ensure designs comply with national electrical codes, local regulations, and project specifications.
- Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and equipment.
- Ensure all electrical works are executed according to approved plans, safety standards, and timelines.
- Oversee subcontractors’ work to ensure compliance with quality and contractual requirements.
- Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems with overall project design.
- Coordinate with suppliers for procurement of electrical materials and equipment.
- Conduct inspections to identify and resolve issues in electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS) and other applicable safety regulations.
- Prepare necessary technical reports, as-built drawings, and documentation.
- Assist in preparing project budgets for electrical works and monitor expenses against allocated funds.
- Recommend cost-effective solutions without compromising quality and safety.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE) or Registered Electrical Engineer (REE)
- Willing to be reassigned to other project sites if need. ex. Bohol
- At least 2–5 years of experience in electrical engineering within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design, installation, and maintenance practices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and electrical design software.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
