1. Sets internal governance policies, manages external factors' impact, anticipates issues, and estimates legal risks strategically by Identifying proactive solutions that will eliminate or mitigate the legal risks.
2. Attends promptly and efficiently to internal and external clients’ needs, requests, inquiries, or complaints and takes appropriate action.
3. Meet with clients, attorneys, and other professionals to discuss case details.
4. Filing of pleadings with the court clerk.
5. Helps in preparation for trial by organizing exhibits and assisting with other tasks as needed.
6. Direct and coordinate law department activity, including delivery of subpoenas.
7. Gather and analyze statutes, decisions, legal articles, codes, documents, and other data.
8. Calls on witnesses to testify at hearings.
9. Keep the law library up to date by monitoring legal volumes.
10. Organizing and maintaining documents in a paper or electronic filing system
11. Ensures targets and goals of the Legal Department are achieved.
