As a Finance Admin, you’ll handle a wide scope of accounting and administrative responsibilities to support Australian clients. From BAS to ASIC to ATO tasks, your work keeps things running smoothly and in full compliance. You'll work closely with accountants, clients, and internal teams—making Xero your best friend and accurate documentation your daily win.
What You’ll Be Doing::
ASIC Compliance
- Process ASIC corporate secretarial tasks: company registrations, annual statements, changes to company details
- Ensure compliance with the Corporations Act
- Handle client correspondence with the ATO
- Support responses to ATO queries
- Compile documentation for trust account audits
- Ensure alignment with trust accounting regulations
- Assist with Bamford Trust Deed amendments
- Prepare, review, and lodge BAS statements
- Accurately report GST, PAYG, and other taxes
- Full bookkeeping cycle: bank reconciliations, AP/AR, general ledger
- Register, renew, and manage business names
- Administer contracts and client documents
- Use Xero for bookkeeping and reporting
- Support and train clients on Xero if needed
- Assist in preparing financial statements and audit papers for SMSFs
- Ensure compliance with superannuation fund regulations
- Support the team in planning and preparing tax strategies
- Prepare tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, and trusts
What You’ll Need to Succeed::
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in an accounting firm or business services role
- Solid understanding of Australian taxation law and compliance
- Proficiency in Xero (non-negotiable)
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- Strong communication skills and client service orientation
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
