Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee and continuously improve client’s month-end close process, leveraging automation and software tools to enhance efficiency and control.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all operational accounting matters, mentoring junior team members and driving ongoing process enhancements.
- Maintain a complete and well-documented set of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Translate complex technical accounting concepts into accurate and reconciled general ledger entries.
- Lead the preparation of local statutory accounts, audits, and R&D tax credit submissions.
- Review journal entries to ensure alignment with internal US GAAP accounting policies and documentation.
- Mentor analysts across Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), improving both coding accuracy and accounting knowledge.
- Manage an Accounting Analyst to support with core accounting activities.
- Collaborate with the FP&A team to post and track non-GAAP adjustments and generate bridge reports between management and statutory accounts.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of accounting practices for software companies under US GAAP.
- Combination of public accounting and corporate industry experience; experience with a Big 4 firm is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and build relationships across all organizational levels.
- Self-motivated with high energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for contributing to a dynamic, high-performing team.
Required Education and Experience
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with time in a Software as a Service (SaaS) business preferred.
- CPA qualified accountant.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Must be willing to work night shift schedules (US hours), and during PH Holidays.
- Must be able to work at Alabang, Muntinlupa when work in the office resumes.
