Finance Manager – J&T Express Philippines

Job Summary:
The Finance Manager at J&T Express Philippines is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring the financial health, stability, and compliance of the company's regional or national operations. This role involves strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and strict adherence to Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and local tax regulations (BIR, LGU). The Finance Manager will also lead and develop the finance team, providing critical financial insights to support business decision-making and drive operational efficiency in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning & Analysis: * Develop, implement, and monitor financial strategies, policies, and procedures in alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements. * Lead the annual budgeting process and prepare regular financial forecasts, analyzing variances and providing actionable recommendations to senior management. * Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement in cost efficiency, profitability, and cash flow. * Prepare comprehensive financial models to support business initiatives, expansions, and investment decisions.
2. Accounting Operations & Reporting: * Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. * Manage daily cash management, bank reconciliations (including COD and shipping transactions), and credit card reconciliations. * Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement) in compliance with PFRS. * Review and approve all reimbursement requests, official advance applications, and disbursement expenses. * Oversee the processing and verification of all financial transactions.
3. Compliance & Risk Management: * Ensure strict compliance with all Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and Local Government Unit (LGU) regulations, including tax filings and remittances. * Monitor Official VAT (OVAT) and Official Receipts for all branches. * Liaise with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations, and ensuring timely resolution of audit findings. * Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity. * Identify and mitigate financial risks, developing strategies to minimize potential exposure.
4. Team Leadership & Development: * Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement. * Assess individual and team performance, setting clear KPIs and providing regular feedback and coaching. * Manage human resource-related finance tasks, such as payroll verification and deductions for resigned employees. * Promote cross-functional collaboration within the finance department and with other departments.
5. Other Responsibilities: * Approve leave and overtime requests for direct reports. * Issue regional finance memos in alignment with HQ memos and SOPs. * Continuously seek solutions for problematic financial issues within the department. * Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes. * Perform other ad-hoc tasks and reports as required by senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial management
- Strong knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and relevant tax laws.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and accuracy.

Pay: Php40,000.00 - Php50,000.00 per month
