Duties and Responsibilities
· Produce accurate and timely period-end financial reports by reviewing and posting adjusting entries related to income and expense accounts and balance sheet accounts.
· Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of postings.
· Ensure that supporting documents for all transactions are organized and filed (or archived) properly that will make retrieval easy when needed.
· Ensures compliance with proper filing procedures to maintain compliance with BIR Regulations.
· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow).
· Generate management reports to support decision-making.
· Ensure that variance analysis between actual results and budget is performed regularly.
· Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts.
· Verify and reconcile subsidiary ledgers (accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, fixed assets).
· Ensure financial records comply with relevant accounting standards (e.g., PFRS, GAAP)
· Prepare schedules and documents for tax filings, regulatory reports, and external audits.
· Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
· Coordinate with auditors by providing required schedules and documents.
· Follow internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
· Recommend improvements in accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
· Contribute to achieving departmental objectives by performing additional duties as assigned.
