In this role, you’ll ensure accurate accounting, maintain investor records, and support the smooth running of registry services. Your Role as Fund Associate
As a Fund Associate, you’ll be right at the heart of financial operations, keeping investor records accurate, fund valuations on point, and reports running like clockwork. You’ll combine sharp accounting skills with meticulous registry work to ensure everything adds up for both the numbers and the relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting:
- Process and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with regulatory requirements across accounting ledgers, including invoice and payment processing
- Prepare instructions to custodian for payment of fund expenses and ensuring all relevant payments are paid in a timely manner
- Prepare and reconcile daily transactions, including cash, investments, and expenses and various monthly reconciliations when required
- Prepare and calculate of daily unit prices for the Fund to ensure accurate valuation of NAV and within agreed timeframes
- Assist with preparation BAS returns
- Assist with preparation of monthly property and fund management reports
- Assist with audit process for the December half year and June full year
- Provide support for ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required
Registry:
- Enter and maintain accurate investor records within the registry platform
- Accurately process investor transactions such as applications, redemptions and transfers
- Perform regular quality control checks and reconcile discrepancies in investor data
- Ensure data privacy and confidentiality of investor information at all time
- Perform investor identification checks including Politically Exposed Person (PEP) screening
- Respond to investor queries in accordance with registry procedures
- Ad-hoc registry tasks as required
Requirements
- Qualified accountant with 3+ years of experience (preferably in Funds Management)
- Strong accounting principles knowledge and high proficiency in Excel and Xero
- Detail-oriented, with excellent accuracy and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Client-service oriented and familiar with compliance requirements, including AML/CTF
