Job Description
Job Title: Lead Civil Engineer (F&B)
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer
Location: Biak na Bato, Quezon City
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
The Lead Civil Engineer (F&B) is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction of civil works for food and beverage facilities such as restaurants, commissaries, food production plants, and support infrastructures. This role ensures that all civil engineering aspects align with operational requirements, safety standards, regulatory compliance, and the specific needs of the F&B industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and implementation of civil engineering components for F&B projects including site development, drainage, structural supports, foundations, and utility layouts.
Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, kitchen consultants, and contractors to ensure integrated design solutions.
Conduct site inspections, surveys, and assessments to determine feasibility, risks, and construction requirements.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, health and sanitation regulations, environmental guidelines, and food safety standards.
Oversee structural and infrastructure designs to ensure they support specialized equipment, heavy loads, and high-traffic operational flows in F&B environments.
Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
Supervise civil works during construction, monitor progress, and resolve site issues or deviations from plans.
Provide technical leadership to junior engineers and construction teams.
Coordinate with project managers to align civil works with schedules, budgets, and overall project goals.
Ensure adherence to quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) and safety procedures throughout project life cycles.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering; PRC-licensed Civil Engineer (or equivalent).
Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 3 years focused on F&B or industrial facilities.
Strong knowledge of structural design, site development, drainage systems, water supply, and sanitation systems.
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, STAAD, SAP2000, MS Project, and other relevant engineering software.
Familiar with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards specific to food facilities.
Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with fast-track or design-build F&B projects.
Knowledge of food processing facility requirements (e.g., floor slope, drainage, non-porous surfaces).
Familiarity with sustainable and green building practices.
