A Panel Beam Saw Operator is responsible for precisely cutting large panels of materials like wood, MDF, or plywood into specific dimensions using a specialized machine called a beam saw. They ensure accuracy, efficiency, and safety in the cutting process, often working within a production team to fulfill manufacturing requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- This includes setting up the machine, adjusting blade height and speed, loading and aligning materials, and securing them for cutting.
- Operators must understand technical drawings, cut lists, and production specifications to ensure accurate cuts.
- This involves safely loading and unloading large panels, which may require lifting and maneuvering heavy materials.
- Regularly inspecting cut pieces for accuracy, dimensional correctness, and any defects.
- Performing routine checks on the saw, identifying and reporting any issues or malfunctions.
- Ensuring a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols, and promoting a safe working environment.
- Working with other team members, such as material handlers, assembly personnel, and supervisors, to maintain workflow and meet production goals.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Vocational course, graduate, TESDA graduate, or at least high school graduate
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in operating Biesse Homag, Beam saw, or Panel saw or similar machines
- Familiarity with reading technical drawings, cut lists, and potentially nesting software
- Ability to lift and handle heavy materials, and the stamina to stand for extended periods
- A high degree of accuracy and resolve issues that may arise during the cutting process
- Clear and effective communication with the team members to ensure smooth workflow and accurate production.
- Preferably residing in or near in Rizal Area.
