PDI Supervisors lead and manage a team responsible for completing Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) of new vehicles. This includes but is not limited to: Conducting brief test-drives of vehicles. Reviewing vehicle components. Performing exterior inspections. Should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work well in a team. They should also have a technical understanding of vehicles, and be able to adhere to PDI guidelines and procedures.
- Inspect vehicles: Ensure vehicles are clean and detailed, and meet customer expectations. This includes checking oil and lubricant levels, and ensuring the vehicle is free of damage or scratches.
- Manage staff: Lead and coordinate a team of PDI assistants.
- Coordinate with other teams: Work with sales, service, and delivery teams to meet their needs and requirements.
- Document findings: Create detailed reports and maintain records of all PDIs.
- Identify issues: Report any issues found during the PDI, and collaborate with the technical team to find solutions.
- Track KPIs: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to PDI completion rate, time taken, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance: Understand and ensure that vehicles meet all compliance standards.
- Develop processes: Continuously improve company processes to ensure effective quality control.
